Tourism Taxation: A Study of the Structure and Incidence of Tourism Taxes in Australia
Funded by: Sustainable Tourism CRC
Duration: Three years

This project is analysing the structure, nature and magnitude of tourism taxes and tax burdens. It will develop a measure to monitor and track changing tourism taxes in Australia at national and state levels. The resulting information will provide a valuable basis for forming future tourism tax policies.

The project involves funding a three-year PhD student, supervised by Dr Sarath Divisekera from the School of Applied Economics.
