Contracts for the International Sale of Goods

Welcome to the Australian site of the autonomous worldwide network on the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sales of Goods (1980). Otherwise known as the Vienna Convention or more commonly, CISG.

This site intends to help the academic, legal profession and students to gain an understanding on the function and implications of the CISG. It will provide material written by Australian authors and list other references available on the CISG in Australia.

Scholarly writings and worldwide cases in English can be accessed through PACE Law School, Institute of International Commercial Law, edited by Professor Albert Kritzer. International Commercial Law Links on this site are useful links to other sites dealing with the CISG worldwide. Also provides information about Contracting States and the Willem C Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.

The Australian site has been created and edited by Theresa Morgante, LL.B Graduate under the direction of Dr Bruno Zeller, Associate Professor, College of Law and Justice, Victoria University, Melbourne.

As of June 2012, the new editor is Bronwyn Betts, Librarian, Victoria Law School. Comments or contributions can be e-mailed to Bronwyn.Betts@vu.edu.au.
