In the preparation process, the following steps are recommended in order to familiarise the team with the requirements and standard expected of participants.

The first useful source is the Moot Alumni Association. This site is the online Alumni group for Vis Moot participants. The next useful link is the PACE Website. This site sets out the knowhow of the Vis Moot with information such as goals, structure, organisation and information regarding the Vis Moot, such as problems and past submissions.

An important reference to refer to is International Trade and Business Law Annual, University of Queensland, Cavendish Publishing. This publication since 1996 carries an account of the team representing the TC Beirne School of Law of the University of Queensland coached by Prof. G.A. Moens. The Moot problem and pleadings are set out and is essential reading for any team contemplating participation.
