With its city location and business links, VU’s Finance Hub is perfectly placed
to provide a practical learning pathway to a professional career in finance.
Courses at the Finance Hub have been designed in conjunction with leading businesses to enhance student professional development in line with business requirements, and so produce graduates that are professionally ready to integrate into the workplace.
It is this personalised approach to learning that enables the student to interact with staff and workplaces to develop the professional and leadership skills so beloved by industry.
In the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, VU’s Flinders Street campus
is now accepting applications for the following courses:
- BBAB- Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance)
- BBAN- Bachelor of Business (International Trade)
- BBFR- Bachelor of Business (Financial Risk Management)
- BBFI- Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance / International Trade)
- BBFT- Bachelor of Business (Financial Risk Management / International Trade)
Industry-linked and career-focused, these courses
enable students to learn in the workplace, not just the
classroom, with industry and alumni mentors to guide them
into a fulfilling professional career.

A New Way of Teaching
With its proximity to the big industry players, the Finance Hub is pioneering industry-led degree courses that take a seminar style approach, rather than the lecture/tutorial format of more traditional university courses, and emphasis is placed on problem-based learning that focuses on the individual student.
Industry Practitioner Content
As part of this new approach to teaching, industry practitioners will work along side subject leaders in delivering content and acclivities. The involvement of industry in the classroom is designed to give student exposure to real industry processes and decision making.
Alumni Mentoring
The Finance Hub is creating a pool of alumni mentors to support students on particular subject projects and assessment exercises, and to provide career development guidance and networking opportunities.
Register your details if you are interested in being involved in our Alumni mentoring program
Alumni Seminar Series
The Finance Hub has introduced a Seminar series drawing on professional speakers and past graduates to raise the profile of Victoria University’s Finance Hub at the City Flinders campus.
