ResearchStudents and staff of the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Marketing participate in a wide range of research programs, many responding directly to identified needs within the industry. Our research program provides invaluable opportunities for students and organisations to collaborate on projects at no or minimal cost. Tourism and hospitality organisations, for example, can commission final-year undergraduates to research a specific problem related to their business, with students presenting reports as part of their course. Similarly, Masters students conduct applied research as part of their degree. Staff researchers are also active across a wide range of academic-industry projects. To find out more about the research of individual staff members, go to staff profiles. For more information: email the Head of School, Doctor Susan Gillet.
Centre for Tourism and Services ResearchOur students and staff also actively support Victoria University 's Centre for Tourism and Services Research, and they play a pivotal role in the national Sustainable Tourism Co-operative Research Centre. The Ideas ExchangeThis forum gives staff a chance to discuss and debate research ideas and is facilitated in a collaboration between the School of HTM and the Centre for Tourism and Services Research.
