Students who have successfully completed a range of qualifications from Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Associate Degree maybe be eligible for a number of credits into their Bachelor of Business course. In many cases, the Faculty has negotiated pathways with various institutions, whereby the completion of particular qualification will lead to set credits in particular Bachelor of Business programs. For example, someone who has completed an Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management will generally gain credit for some of the core business units plus some of the specialisation units, as well as some of the electives. Depending upon the modules studied in the Advanced Diploma, up to ten units of credit may be granted. The Faculty has such arrangements with a number of institutions, both locally and in a number of offshore locations, including China, Malaysia and Singapore.
The course pathways database allows you to search your course by year, country, institution and course code and compare it against VU courses to see if you are eligible for credit transfer. To search the database simply enter the year you are going to enter the Bachelor of Business course, the country in which you previously studied, the institution you studied at and the course you studied. Search the Pathways Database now. To apply for recognition of prior learning, download the application form from the Commonly Used Forms section of the website.
